How to access a sub web site?

What is the addressing that permits a person to view a sub web site? For
example, if the main web site is www.xxx.com and the sub web site is yyy,
what would a person enter as the address text in a web client in order to
see the sub web site pages?
 
Re: How to access a sub web site?Right. Silly me. I'd misnamed the sub-site when I'd created it so when I tried doing exactly as you suggested, nothing good happened. Yet another 'Doh!' moment from the DohMan.

But that then becomes a subdomain, which then the DNS needs to be set up to point it to the subweb /
subsite

the url for the sub-site would be www.xxx.com/yyy/

all a sub web is is a web within a web - it operates separately from it's parent
(i.e. with independent server extensions etc) yet is also integrated into the
parent web.
 
correct - sub-Domain and sub-web are not the same thing....but a sub-web can have
an URL which is a sub-domain of the main URL.
