Haha, I love it when you see old hardware items again! I had a 6MB EMS Expansion board (a crazy amount of memory at the time) - it took up the whole length of the case!
Yeah, we still use 486's sometimes at university when we are working with electronics or getting flight data. It can handle anything we need to run on it, as the stuff we are recording from may be 30 years old (i.e wind tunnels).
If the mobo hadn't blown, you should have tried to overclock it! Now that would have been interesting
