How stop a query in Access 2007

In previous versions of Access, pressing Ctrl-Break would stop a query in
progress. This no longer works in Access 2007. Is there a new command to
stop a query started in error that could run for a very long time without
forcing Access to end?

Are you using a server back end like SQL Server? It has never been possible
to halt a running query with Ctl-Break against a server back end. If you
are using a standard MDB/AccDB file for your tables then as far as I know it
should work. Certainly wouldn't surprise me if the behavior was changed
though in 2007.

Thank you for your fast and complete response!!!
