How see my hard drives from an XP boot floppy ?

I'm sorry I'm back with the question I asked a few days ago
because, if I eventually succeeded in creating an XP boot floppy,
when I do
(or whatever letter I use except 'a:') I see nothing. It only
works for the current drive I've just booted upon, viz the
diskette a: drive...
What should I put inside the boot.ini in order to see my hard
drives (I have 2 hard disks) ? How can I deal with that ?

Once again thanks...
Regards,
Spendius

The only thing an XP "boot floppy" does is load the kernal and drivers
from the hard disk. These are much too large to fit on a floppy.

There is some software that I intend to play with that you run on your
PC that copies all the files necessary to make a working XP system to
a CDR and makes it bootable. I can't find the link, offhand. Maybe
someone else will post it.

If you boot a Knoppix CD you'll be able to read all your NTFS and
FAT32 drives as Read Only, which is useful for data recovery purposes.
