How much meg do I "really" need?

I've been told that 326 meg of RAM is best (highly
recommended) for running Windows XP vs. 128 meg. Is this
true? I need something for a very small business w/Quicken
and Office 2000 - that's all. I don't want to pay extra
for something I really don't "need". Thanks so much anyone!

Windows XP needs at least 128MB RAM minimum to run properly.
Adding memory-intensive applications may require more. I would
suggest having at least 256MB RAM installed.....326MB is better
and 512MB optimal. Adding additional RAM is properly the best
cost-efficient way to increase the overall performance of running
Windows XP.

Memory is very inexpensive right now. The application software you
mentioned should run OK with 256MB of on board memory. However, more
is always better especially if you should decide later on to run other
business applications such as a data base or employee payroll.
