In my microsoft outlook rules wizard I have pleanty of
rules defined since we also pleanty of business contacts.
How many rules can I defined in my microsoft outlook? I
used server rules and every now and then I update it in
the server. Is their any possible way to increase the
rules in the Exchange 2000 server? How?

And plenty of posts too...

You can create up to 32KB of rules. This limit can't be changed.

You can't. I don't think even the Exchange admin can change it (i.e.,
it is a fixed limit). Note that 32KB refers to the total number of
bytes occupied by all the characters in your rules, not that you can
have 32-some thousands of rules.

It is probably time to cleanup a lot of sloppiness in your rules. Do
you have a rule defined for every contact? Or do you have ONE rule that
keeps messages from known senders listed in your address book(s)?
Microsoft doesn't let you list multiple address books in a rule so
you'll need to define N rules for N address books (i.e., contact-type
folders with the property set to include them in the Outlook Address
Book) like the following:

Apply this rule after recieving a message
delete it (or whatever you want)
except if sender is in <contactfolder> Address Book
stop processing more rules

The above only keeps e-mails from known senders. If you simply want to
short-circuit a huge list of rules then define it as:

Apply this rule after receiving a message
sender is in <contactfolder> Address Book
stop processing more rules

and position at or near the top of your rules list. Then if the sender
is known, you don't need to bother running any more rules.

You can't change it; it's by design. For additional info see Vanguards post.
