How know which programs are using a file?

Is there a prog that will allow me to select a DLL and be told which
program is using that DLL? In other words, if I want to delete a DLL
but keep getting a message that it is in use by another program, I'd
like to know which program.

Thanks,
Brett

Find the .dll file, right click it, left click Properties, click the Version tab, and
perhaps by the company's name you might be able to tell. The LXBKCU.DLL information tells
me that it is a Lexmark company file. So, I know that it either a file needed for my
printer driver, or printer software.

ProcessExplorer is such a convoluted and complicated program. Is there
something that will highlight the folder containing a file in use.
Then you open the folder, right click the file and view everything
using it?

Thanks,
Brett

No. If you want to do advanced work, you have to learn to use advanced
tools. Otherwise, take the machine to a professional and spend your
time doing something more amusing. There is nothing wrong with this.
