I'm going to be ordering computer parts this weekend, and have used NewEgg
in the past, but like the layout of Mwave. Has anyone had any bad luck with
them. I'd rather buy online with someone that doesn't charge tax, or
extreme shipping fees. Looking at getting a motherboard, memory, and
processor.

Thanks

I ordered most of the parts for a system from them a year and a half ago and
was very pleased with the experience. Of the parts I received, a WD
harddrive was dead on arrival, but I called them and they promptly sent out
another one that worked fine. I highly recommend them.

I've used both NewEgg and MWave and would rate them to be about equal --
basically I scan both when I want something and pick the one with the better
price.

I've actually had bad luck with newegg, though I know I'm in the minority
there. I've had nothing but good luck with mwave. Before someone asks, I
ordered a motherboard from newegg, a model I'd built with before (so I was
very familiar with it before it arrived). It arrived in a box I didn't
recognize. The plastic bag protecting the motherboard was open before I
touched it. The system I tried to build with that motherboard was massively
unstable. Replacing the motherboard fixed the problem. Draw your own
conclusions. In newegg's defense though, they quickly replaced the problem
motherboard. The replacement worked perfectly with all the same
omponents. -Dave

That's alright, having a choice is good, after all he is even considering
Mwave and having too much information is better than not having enough.

Shop around, that's the smart way.

Go to www.resellerratings.com and read about Mwave and many other companies
you are considering for your purchases.

The truth is out there. You just have to look in the right places and ask
the right questions.

I give them 5 of 5 stars. I've ordered an integrated MB/CPU/RAM from
them for my own builds, and used them for a complete custom machine
build for a freind (nothing like spending other people's moeny!):
they've been great. I like them as much as newegg...and you are correct,
mwave has some excellent selection tools on their site...

I have great praise for Mwave. I ordered a complete system, assembled
and tested. Everything worked and continues to work perfectly. Phone
calls are answered promptly and the techs are very knowledgeable.

Mwave has the best price for an Abit IC7 mobo that I have seen, definitely a
great buy.

I've used Mwave quite a bit and find their inventory, prices, and service to
be excellent. A friend who also buys lots of computer parts likes them as
well. I purchased my motherboard bundle to build this new system from them,
but in a recent purchase of a new printer and HD I went elsewhere because of
the total price including shipping. Although their prices are about as low
as they get, I think they profiteer on shipping a bit, as their shipping
charges often seem high.

I have had the same favorable experiences with Newegg, and their prices can
be lower considering many of the items they offer have free Fed-Ex Express
Saver shipping. Mwave's shipping can be a bit steep, even via ground, and
when I order I check both and buy from the one offering the best net price.
They're both top-drawer IMO.
