how get mouse icon in taskbar

It seems that /controlpanel/mouse used to have a little check box in it to
put a little mouse icon in task bar lower right section. doesn't now. How
can I do this?

You're perhaps referring to the Mousekeys icon, accessible via Control Panel

Why do you want that icon is the systray ? Do you ever use it ?

Yes, I've gone through 4 mice in the past week and it's an easy way to
change settings...
