How enable an input field to encrypt input as password

I created a form to allow different users to pickup their user name from a
combo box and then enter the password. At present, the input field is in
plain view (i.e. anyone can see the password entered.

User Name: ________________(combo box to allow user select their name)
Password: ________________

Can someone please tell me how can I enable data encryption for this
"Password" input field to encrypt the input as the user entering the password
?
