Anyone who knows (or thinks they know) the answer to your question can/will

An MVP is a Most Valuable Professional. These are people who have
demonstrated practical expertise with the program. They are recognized by
their peers and by Microsoft. Translation: Whiz kid or guru.
You appear to be posting by the web interface at Microsoft.com. It is
basically a newsgroup started by MS that happens to appear in many places
around the world through newsreaders and USENET.
Taken from baseball, a Most Valuable Player. Either a self appointed title
or someone anointed by MS as a regular "support" person who frequents these
groups. I don't know which but I do appreciate the free advice they give.
