In Word 2000, turning on the Protect tool on the Forms toolbar will delete
all data from the fields of the form. This does not occur as far as I can
tell in 2003. Where is the tutorial guidance for Forms creation?

Thanks.

In earlier versions of Word, you will need to use a macro to re-invoke
protection without deleting the data from the formfields. The command is

ActiveDocument.Protect NoReset

That is correct. Using the padlock button on the Forms toolbar does not
reset the form in Word 2002 or 2003. Using the Tools | Protect Document
command does. For help on forms, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.
