Glenn P.,

Hello. I use Windows XP Pro, and have been using "Cryptext v3.4", by
Nick Payne, for file encryption.

If anyone is interested, this shell extension was formerly available
at http://www.pcug.org.au/~njpayne, but this URL is no longer valid
-- he seems to have moved. It is still available at various other
sites, however, including the following:

http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,7941,00.asp

http://www.fusionsource.com/downloads/encrypt.html

http://www.freewarebeast.com/freeware/download-cryptext-14477.php

....among a few others.

I am very satisfied with it, but I have one niggling problem.

My QUESTION is, does ANYONE here know of any way, under Windows XP Pro,
to render the ".$#!" extension visible under Windows Explorer?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated: Thank you.

Just don't hide extensions?
(Tools --> Folder Options --> View tab..)

I can see it just fine in explorer.
