How does one reset default font settings to XP Pro

Something occurred to my computer where the fonts were changed. At first I
thought the display size had been altered, because the font looked smaller
than usual. So, checked to see if resolution had altered, but it is still set
at the orginal specs of 800x600. I've tried different font types and sizes,
but can't get it back to what it used to be. Is there a default type I can
manually put in or is there a place where one can access that I am not aware
of on XP Pro to reset the defaults? This is rather puzzling. I tried some of
the other comments on here such as clear font or whatever it is called and
that altered the font for more clarity, but didn't solve the original
problem. The clear font software I downloaded mentions MS fonts used, but
after trying those it still doesn't resolve the original problem and I cannot
find the clear font software that was setup. Where does one find this to
re-use it again. Thanks for any help you can offer.

To use ClearType for screen fonts:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and
then click Display.

2. On the Appearance tab, click Effects.

3. Click to select the Use the following method to smooth edges of
screen fonts check box, and then click ClearType in the list.
