I am attempting to burn CDs of certain Outlook messages on CD in .psts that
are non-passworded or encrypted... this is benefical for stand alone PCs and
users that are not currently networked but require communication sets that
have been previously distributed to others.

This solution should work independantly of Outlook 2000/2003. [.ost<s> only
work in Outlook 2003 for example]

Use only Outlook 97-2002 (ANSI) format PSTs. To put the PST on the CD,
close Outlook (it MUST be closed or you can corrupt the PST during the copy)
and burn it to the CD. To use it on the other system, copy it back to the
hard drive and remove the read-only attribute. The, open Outlook and click
File>Open>Outlook Data File (or Personal folders File for OL 2000), browse
to the PST, select it and click OK. This will work with any version of
Outlook, from OL 97 on up.
