I brought up my Office 2007 and it looks so confusing. I was wondering how
it all works.

It works extremely well.
Even Mac owners use it.

It does not come with a F manual. However, reading the HELP section can be useful if you figure
out how to ask the right question.

However there is lots of help in the Office newsgroups.

David, I was trying to be funny, given the number of MS bashers who are
always here touting the benefits of Macs and Linux.
Sorry. Let me just stick with my original sentence. It works extremely well.
I say that based on my own experience and not because of the fact that Mac
users use it.

MS always makes better versions of their software for macs, pehaps because
the mac users are more demanding for good interfaces? lol
You know you are practicing false advertising. You should take off (An MVP

"How it all works" is an interesting question and hard to describe in 10
words or less and probably best left to you experiencing it. What it is is
a little easier to describe. Office is a set of programs that are most
commonly asked for and used with your computer. Each program, some of which
are, Word Processing, Spread Sheets, Presentation preparation, database
construction is designed to be multi-leveled which means with little
experience you can get good use and professional looking output, and at the
other end of the experience curve, which can take months or years to master,
you can create very intricate documents. Office can help organize,
simplify, document and publish your office work.

Is that how long it took Carey to learn how to copy and paste URL links? Or,
is that how long it would take you?

Cheers.

But it doesn't have VBA either, can't run macros. That's not an
improvement. Not having a ribbon is a plus, I don't like it but I'm sure if
I wasn't acclimated to the older versions Office with the menu system then I
might not feel the same way. There is an add-on program that puts the "old"
menu system in Office 2007.
