Unfortunately, the quick answer is that you can't.

Basically you can't. You can create you text in text boxes and place them
around your picture.

OK, not the answer you wanted, maybe, but you have to admit, it was quick. ;-)
People usually get around the problem by creating the text and picture in Word,
then copy/pasting into PPT.
