how do you uninstall

I need to know how to uninstall XP that was partially installed but not totally. When my wife's laptop comes on, it asks to use either xp installation or windows 98(which is the operating system it has) I need to know how to remove what has been loaded so that 98 works like normal and doesnt ask that at startup.
 
Sounds like you tried to create a dual boot. Just boot to Windows 98. Open
the root of C: and edit the boot.ini to remove the reference to the XP
install. Delete the systemroot that you installed XP into.
