How do you show 10^6 without the ^ symble?

I want to display a large number, like 400 x 10^6, without the ^ symble. How
would I go about changing it to look like you would when writing it on paper?
I am using Microsoft Word 2003.

Select the 6 and use Format > Font to change it to superscript.
