When I try to send a picture embedded in the body of an email, I see it when
I send it out, but when I or someone else receives it, the picture no longer
shows. How can you make it appear in the body of the email?

Depends on what format the message is sent in. Use HTML. And if it still
doesn't work - it's an issue on your mail server, or on the recipient's mail
server, or on the recipient's mail client - nothing you can do about that.

I just posted this same question. My mail is sent as HTML. I can receive
emails with pictures from other people, but even if I forward that same email
to myself, the pictures come over as attachments. Others on my mail server
are able to send pictures.

If you want pictures in the body, you have to embed them in the body with
Insert>Picture. Otherwise, they're attachments.
