I'm sorry, but I have to say that the UI for the Office 2007 is completely
retarded. I used to consider myself an "expert" PC user, having used a
computer since the old DOS days, but I guess I'm just too stupid to figure
out how to do some basic stuff in Office 2007. Maybe I should finally dumb
myself down to getting a Mac...

Anyway, super stupid question, WHERE IS THE DANG ICON TO "Save As" in Word
2007

Yes, I'm dumb enough to have just spent 30 minutes tying to figure this out
and I cannot progress in today's work until I figure this out :(

Thank you. Kevin

Click the Microsoft Office Button, the round button in the upper left
corner. If you use this command frequently, right-click the Save As command
and use "Add to Quick Access Toolbar". Do the same for all frequently used
commands, or entire groups. As a matter of fact, right-click everything --
there are a lot of commands you'll only find in the context menus.

Click on the Office button (the round one in the top left corner referred to
by some as the "pizza button").

You're welcome. :-)

Also, here's a link to a download you might be interested in:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...0c-fdae-4ede-b528-ac58031a5dff&displaylang=en

It's an add-in that will add an extra tab, called Get Started, in Word. It
has links to various resources, including an Interactive Guide that you can
use to find where commands are located in Word 2007. It provides the old UI
that you can use to navigate to the command you are looking for. Then upon
clicking the command it will animate the location in the new UI. It's a
great time-saver.

If you want just the Interactive Guide, here's a direct link:
