You don't. They are always there, you're just used to a program that didn't
show them. We asked the programming team to show them.

I wish they didn't as it takes up a lot of room and can't really see a need
for the email address to show and I wish they could give us a choise in this
matter as I believe that there are others out there who don't want it to
show. BTW who is "We"?

"We" refers to those of us who were official beta testers of Vista.

If you don't want to see the email addresses in a message being composed,
switch to Windows Live Mail.
Many users like to see the addresses because in a situation where a recipient
has more than one address, you can verify that you have picked the correct one.

::What idiot at MS decided it was a good idea to show all of your
recipients email addresses? Has anyone at MS ever thought that perhaps
the sender does not want the others to see the addresses of who the mail
went to? How about spamming once those addresses go out? MS- provide
a way in Vista Mail to eliminate the addresses..::
::Vista has gone 5 steps backwards.::

If the email address is stripped off, the email is not likely to arrive
where
you are sending it. You can, in the box where you create a new message,
click on View, then All headers, then put the email address on the Bcc:
line, and each addressee will see only their own email address if even
that much.

Any addresses you see in WinMail were also there with Outlook Express. OE
just didn't show them on the screen, but if you looked at the message
properties they were there. If you want to keep addresses secret use the
BCC field.
