Are you writing this essay in the database program Microsoft Access?
If so... consider using Microsoft Word instead. Access (the subject of
this newsgroup) is a database program, not a word processor. You
cannot do this kind of formatting in a native Access textbox.
If you are using Microsoft Word, look at the toolbar at the top of the
screen. There are icons with a bold B, an italic letter i, and a
red-colored A. These will let you do this kind of highlighting. For
more detailed help, please scroll down the list of newsgroups to one
for Microsoft Word and ask your question there.
