how do you find missing "sent emails"

Help ! I am missing copies of my 'sent' emails for the months of march & feb
2005. All the other emails are still there (all the inbox & draft emails for
all the months and the sent emails prior to feb 2005). I just exported the
outlook pst file last weekend to create a backup. When I checked my emails
today, I am missing the feb & mar 05 even in the backup (they were not
missing last week).

Thanks in advance for any help ! (p.s. i'm using outlook 2003)

Never export a PST to make a backup. Just close Outlook and copy it to make
the backup. Exporting can lose information.
