How do you edit bios settings? I'm specifically trying to
disable the auto detection of floppy and cd-rom drives
during startup.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian, you edit the bios settings by entering the bios before the system
loads the OS. It depends on the motherboard type as to what key or key
combo needs to be depressed, typically just after your video bios runs. On
some machines it's the Del key, F1, F2, F10, etc. it depends. Many times if
you watch the screen carefully during the early part of the boot process you
will see a prompt like "Del to enter setup" or something like that. If
you've never been into the bios be careful about what changes you make, it's
not rocket science.
Looking in the manual if you have one is a good suggestion by Mike but don't
call your ISP, they won't know or care.
