How do you disable Compressed Old Files

Sometimes when I perform Disk Cleanup, this Compressed Old
Files option really takes up huge space. How do I disable
this feature? is it possible?

i tried running regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll, it didn't work.

same question for W2K? how do u disable this?

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
