When trying to use (s) I keep getting a half moon emoticon? How do I delete
this automatic emoticon?
Thanks
Robert

It sounds like you have an autocorrect set up for this. To undo it when it
happens just press Ctrl+Z. To stop it happening at all, select Tools >
AutoCorrect from the menu and then select the entry for (s) - it should be
near the top of the list - and press Delete.

The control z worked but the (s) was not in my autocorrect listing? Actually
no half moon emoticons were in the list! So I added (s) to the list making it
equal to (s). Do you think that will work?

Note that if it were listed, it would be right at the top (with (c) and
(tm))--not with the words beginning with s.

Suzanne,
Thanks for the help. I was not looking alphabetically for words beginning
with s but the near the top of the listing, as Tony indicated, where (tm) is
listed. I was looking for parenthesis and didn't find any (s)? Do you think
my putting in (s) equals (s) will solve the problem?

It should be pretty easy to see if it works. Have you tried it?

That Ctrl+Z works suggests it is an AutoCorrect - you could confirm this by,
before pressing Ctrl+Z, clicking on Edit on the Menu and seeing what the top
entry says - if it is an AutoCorrect it will say "Undo AutoCorrect". As for
whether adding an AutoCorrect of (s) for (s) will work, that depends on the
underlying issue but it is easy enough to test - you tell me if it works :).

Tony, Suzanne
Thanks for all your help. The adding (s) equals (s) worked. I'm still not
sure about the autocorrect solution but that's a mystery for another person.
