I've got Outlook 2000 and my wife sent a message from our home account to
her office which has attachments, is huge, and is hanging up her home email
now. How can I delete this outgoing message? I've tried deleting it
normally. What can I do?

Try opening the message from your Sent Items (restore it from your deleted
items if you can), with the message open click on the Actions menu and choose
Recall This Message, this might work. Otherwise, the only other possibility
is to log on to your wife's e-mail using a web-based interface such as at
www.mail2web.com or through your ISP's web site, select the offending message
from there and delete it.

Thanks AJ but the message hasn't made it to Sent Items yet. It's hung in the
spooler. For that same reason it hasn't made it to the ISP web site. It's
stuck on her PC. Is there an outgoing file folder I can delete from the HD
or is her whole account stored in the same *.pst file? I really need to
purge the system of this large file so she can use email via outlook again.
Any other suggestions?

This ultimately worked. Some of the paths and options were different on my
Outlook 2000 setup than were in the procedures in the link so it took a bit
of fiddling around. BUT I did get the offending email file (26Meg) removed
and things are back in order. Thanks!
