How do you change the color of text in the task pane on Word?

My text on the Word task pane is a bright green, and I cannot read the
options easily. How do I change the option color in the task pane?

This is Word 2002 or 2003? Which task pane? Which version of Windows?
Have you chosen a color scheme for Windows, or is it the default?
