How do you access emotocons in Microsoft Outlook

I only get referred to symbols...do I have to put my own together or is there
a click and insert menu somewhere?
 
You mean when you type :) and it turns into a smiley face icon? That is
autocomplete. It can be accessed through tools, options, spelling.
