There are several possible approaches:
a. you can use macropod's date-related field calculations (I think http://www.wopr.com/w3tfiles/10-249902-DateCalc.zip is the correct
reference)
b. you may be able to do the calculation in your data source, depending
what it is
c. you can consider using a DATABASE field - see http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk/t0004.htm for more on that
d. you can do the merge and postprocess it. But I think that's likely to be
harder than the above approaches.
FWIW, I'm completely in tune with Peter on this with emphasis on item #2 -
do the forecasted date calculation in the database/contact mgmt app if at
all possible. It will most likely be more reliable, more easy to do, & more
useful in your data management source. Results can be included in a merge
just like any other field & will be up-to-date each time.
