I would like to know how I can view an Avi file that I have recieved. I have
XP Home Edition, the media players I have are Real Player, Windows Media and
I have WinDVD, but when I try to play them I can see anything, so I have to
download any other software. I there is something easy let me know cause Im
not too computer savy.

windows media player should play them fine. or Real Player...do you get an
error message?

Yes.........
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the
file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

look in windows media player...from the menu bar slect tools/options/file
types and check to make sure that AVI is selected.

It's probably a divx encoded video (extension tends to be .avi).
To get some very useful codecs, go here:

http://filehippo.com/download_codec_pack/

This download should provide what you're missing!
