Since it does not support Hotmail, the program is useless to me. Is there a
way to install outlook express?

If you happen to have MS Outlook
you could use it to access Hotmail.

Actually Windows Mail can work for an MSN account.
Is you hotmail a free account or do you pay for it?
Does it have a POP3 server or http address for a server or either?

I have MSN and it works great for me.

thanks but HP computer came preloaded and I have no disk, do you know what I
can do to safely go back

That is beyond the scope of this Windows Mail newsgroup.
Try posting in microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup.

Surely the HP manual would give you the steps to do so. HP also has a very
nice web site with a customer support area. www.hp.com

When I upgraded my HP laptop to Vista, it took out the restore partition.
So, unless the OP made a restore CD while he still had XP installed,
he may be out of luck. It is possible that HP will sell him a restore CD
at low cost.
