How do I type and print a 4" x 6" index card?

I'm trying to print recipe cards in Word. I can't figure out where to go to
get a template for a 4x6 index card.

Howdy,

You can (very) easily create such a template...

Just open a new page, click on File | Page Setup | set the
dimensions you want. Then save it as a Template.

Unfortunately this will only work if your printer driver will accommodate
such a paper size (or the printer will physically handle such a small size).
If the former, you *may* be able to get away with setting the next large
paper size and applying larger margins to make up the difference. There's
nothing you can do about a printer that will not handle very small pages,
apart from replacing it with a printer that will.

You may be able to buy such cards as label stock with several to a page, in
which case you can treat the cards as labels.
