Can someone tell me how to turn off the automatic highlighting of an email
address or web site address when including them in a word document? Thanks

Word 2003 and earlier: Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type
uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

Word 2007: Office button > Word Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options >
AutoFormat As You Type > uncheck "Internet and network paths with
hyperlinks".

Alternatively, to have Word create hyperlinks but keep the formatting the
same as the surrounding text, modify the Hyperlink and FollowedHyperlink
character styles to suit your needs.
