I hit something the other day in Word and now it shows everytime I space,
return, or tab with all these little dots and arrows, etc... What did I do
and how do I undo it???
Confused!!!

What you are seeing are non-printing characters which you will come to
appreciate as you learn more about the use of Word. They are indispensable
for effectively editing, revising & formatting documents - although they can
be a bit distracting until you learn to work with them.

Have a look at:

http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NonPrintChars.htm

For detailed information. In the meanwhile just click the ¶ (Show/Hide)
button on the Standard Toolbar to toggle them on/off.

I started using Word when it was on DOS. Maybe that's why I am just so
accustomed to them. I can no longer work on a Word or Publisher document
without them.
