How do I turn off Smart Tags so they do not appear at all on any application?
It would be so super if MS would use WordPerfect's Reveal Codes! It would be
an asset to all MS products; it was for WordPerfect.
 
In each of the Office applications, go to Tools|Options. There should be an
option on one of the tabs to turn off the smart tags for that application.
The tab may vary depending on the application.
 
PS,

If you go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel, select Microsoft Office
or other appropriate application, then click the Change button you can
uninstall the smart tags. Choose Add/Remove components then click the
checkbox to do a Custom selection. The smart tags are under the Tools option
in the item selections.
