how do I turn off preveiw for junk email folder

While I am able to turn off the preveiw panel in Outlook for most folders It
remains active in the Junk E-Mail folder. Is it possible to turn this off as
well.

You never identified WHICH version of Outlook that you use. Versions exist
because there are *differences* between them, including how to access the
configuration options within the different versions.

In Outlook 2003, select the Junk folder and use the View -> Reading Pane to
configure the Preview pane option for that folder.

As I recall, the install-time default for Outlook is to *disable* the
Preview pane for the Junk folder. So at some time you enabled it and now
you decided that you want to disable it again.
