I can set the new email back to single line spacing but the default setting
is for double line spacing. How do I permanently set the deafult to single
line spacing?

Thanks ia advance.

Unfortunattely you can't in outlook.

Pressing Shift + Enter in stead of just Enter does the trick however.

You can also adjust the email template to add white space on each paragraph
then just type 1 enter instead of two but it only works on new mail, not
replies.

It is Outlook 2007. I will detail the exact steps taken to remove the double
spacing required for every new email and post back here.

With Outlook 2007, you need to either use plain text, press enter one
instead of twice, or Shift+enter. You could edit the email template but it
only works for new mail, not replies. Or you can not worry about it - email
is an inexact form of communication and as long as the readable, it doesn't
need to be perfectly formatted.

See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/dblspace_html.htm for an explanation.

Thanks for that Diane, I will see what the user requires.

Cheers

Surely, with email becoming more of a corporate method of communication for
businesses, it is as important for the email to be perfectly (corporately)
formatted as if it were a business communication?
