I have a new computer with windows XP and access 2003. The
computer that I am using is on it's last legs and I need
to move my access 2000 program from my old machine with
Win 98 second addition to Windows XP and access 2003. Can
oyou point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Take a backup copy of your database, then just launch the database on the
new platform. Access will ask you if you want to upgrade it to the new
version. Say yes, and that's it!

Just copy your mdb file to the new computer.

Access 2003 opens Access 2000 format database natively with no conversion needed.

Although you can convert it (Tools/Database Utilities) to 2002/2003 format if you want, a lot of us are staying with the 2000 format
because 3 versions of Access (2000, 2002, and 2003) can open it directly.
