A program I just obtained requires USB 2.0
How do I find out which version of USB I have on my computer.
I can't seem to find it in the System Hardware module?

please and thank you.

Click Start, Run (Type) Devmgmt.Msc [Enter]
Expand (Click +) beside Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
Scan the list for "Host Controllers". If you have one that has
"Enhanced" in it's descriptor - you have USB 2.0 capability.

Thank you and I do have one that says:
Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller.
It says it's at PCI Slot 2
But my PCI Slot 2 ... I think has my Hauppauge TV adapter card.

but there are a bunch of other Host Controllers that do not have Enhanced in
the description.

Open Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus section. There
should be an "Enhanced" USB host controller present.

Thanks for all the little items.
I use a lot of the them especially the 'restore point' lol
saved my butt a couple of times.

How to tell if your Windows 2000/XP system is supporting USB 2.0

First, if your PC is more than two years old, it likely doesn't support
USB 2.0 unless you've added such hardware support.

1. Right-click on My Computer
2. Select "Manage" and click on it.
3. Click on the "Device Manager" icon.
4. Click on "USB Controllers" entry.
5. If you see "USB 2.0 Root Hub Device" or "Enhanced Host Controller",
then USB 2.0 is supported.
6. If you see don't see the entries in step 5 above, you have USB 1.0 or 1.1
