I have a new pc with XP. I use a small program called
clean up almost every day, and thats when I seem to have
problems. After using cleanup things start the next time
I reboot. Mainly quicktime...sometimes yahoo. Is there
a way to set this so that certain things never come up
during startup? I can't imagine ever needing to run most
of these programs all the time. I do know how to take go
to start/run/msconfig/startup etc. but that doesn't last
long. Any help appreciated.

Open the programs that are involved and change the startup options in
the menus found there.
