how do i stop the getting started task pane when opening word 200.

When i open up word 2003 the 'getting started' task pane opens on the right
hand side every time and i dont want it to. How can i stop this action.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | uncheck the "Startup task pane"
box | OK. Sometimes the task pane will continue to appear even if you turn
it off in Tools | Options | View. If you have this problem, get the task
pane controller from http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ShowTaskPane.htm.
