How do I stop drop-down boxes saving searches?

In Google and other applications I find that the searches are saved in
drop-down boxes for later use.

How can I turn off this feature, for security purposes?

Please help,

Disable Autocomplete. Control Panel/Internet Options/Content tab.

1.Click on Tools in the IE menu
2. Select Internet Options
3. Select the Content Tab
4. Click the AutoComplete button
5. Select the checkboxes you desire.
