I want to configure a group of notebooks to all start Outlook 2003 in a
certain Public folder (a shared Calendar) - but I can't browse to it to
select the folder under Advanced Options, Startup in this Folder.
This works for Office XP (2002) and probably 2000 too. With slight
variation it will work in 2003.
1) Open the public folder of your choice
2) Copy the address for the folder (up near the toolbar) to the
clipboard
3) Right-click on Outlook Today in your Folder List, choose
"Properties"
4) Click the "Home Page" tab
5) Paste the URL from Step 2 in to the "Address" field on this tab
6) Make sure "Show Homepage by default..." is checked
7) Click the "OK" button
8) From the "Tools" menu, choose "Options"
9) Select the "Other" tab
10) Click the "Advanced Options..." button
11) Choose "Outlook Today" from the dropdown list for "Start in this
Folder"
12) Click the "OK" button, then click the other "OK" button
13) Close and reopen outlook and you will see your public folder at
startup.
