How do I sort IMAP email in Outlook Express?

I'm using OE 6 and added my AOL email accounts, but Microsoft says OE doesn't
support filtering or sorting IMAP email. Has anyone found a solution provider
with a plug in for OE (or Outlook 2003) that will allow this, or is it just
technically impossible? Thanks, Michael

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, MichaelB asked:

Thanks Millie! I have MS Office 2003 - is IMAP sorting possible in Outlook
2003? Some people have recommended Thunderbird too but I'd rather stay with
Microsoft, it's just frustrating not to be able to autosort the AOL mail
that's coming in in IMAP. Thanks again, I'll check the OE Board too. Best,
Michael

What do you mean by "IMAP sorting"? Do you mean running rules? Since rules
operate on your delivery location Inbox only, and since it seems that an
IMAP message store cannot be a delivery location, I don't think rules run on
IMAP message stores.
