How do I sort a list of names?

  • Thread starter Thread starter Guest
  • Start date Start date
Select, then click Sort from the Table menu. (The names don't have to be in
a table.)

Can I make a table with names in first column and dates in secon
column; and then sort names alpha by date, then secondary multipl
entries of same name into date order?

Would I be better off using Excel?

Thanks,

Why not try it? Word does multi-column sorting of tables, but whether this
actually meets your needs is hard to guess.

For anything complex, yes. Since you can cut and paste Word tables to and
from Excel, this is often quicker.

Yes, you can select up to three sort fields.
