How do I solve the "internal error 2203" in Word?

My word files are all locked suddently. When I use 'help' with the 'detect
and repair' function, it comes up with the message of 'Internal Error 2203".

Please help! Thanks!

I think you need to take this to the office.setup newsgroup. Be sure to
mention which version of Word/Office you have. From what I can see, this error
indicates the Windows Installer is having difficulties...
