Hi,

When I go to View and shut off Autopreview it works while
I am still in Outlook until I shutdown. When I restart
Outlook Autopreview is on again. How do I permanantly
shut down Autopreview so that it is off even when I open
Outlook again?

Autopreview always returns the way you left it (on or
off) when you re-open Outlook.
I've just tried it both ways & it is on or off when I re-
open Outlook depending on how I left it.

Try doing a REPAIR installation of Office to see if maybe
you have a corrupt installation.

Just an idea but you have to shut off each folder that
may have Preview Pane as an option as well...
View|Preview Pane.

AutoPreview went wacky on me all of a suddent. Starting today (Nov
11), every time I click on my Inbox, AutoPreview is on. I can turn it
off, click to another folder, and click back on the Inbox and
AutoPreview is on again.

I have done a Repair on my Office installation but to no avail. I am
wondering if this anomoly started happening to other people suddenly
as well. I am running Outlook 2002 SP2 on a Windows 2000 Professional
machine.

Curiously,
Heather

This happens to me as well but only using Outlook XP and
when using IMAP. It doesn't happen with POP3 accounts.
I have posted this problem to the newsgroup and have yet
to receive a reply. I did speak to a Microsoft Tech
Support Rep and she said the issue is known and that
there is a way to correct the problem but I didn't
qualify for support so she wasn't able to tell me how to
resolve this issue. Hmmmm.
