how do i share my printer

hi, i have windows Xp all updates, and i have shared my printer and set up a
network, but my printer doesnt show up under any1 who is on my network, my
g.f has a G4 powerbook and my roommate runs windows XP. i can see my
roommate's files but no this printer, and i cant even see my g/f's computer
on my network (she has a network setup on her pc), but she can view both of
me and my roommate's pc's and files.

1. how can I fix my sharing printer problem?
2. how can i find my g/f's comp on my network?

PS. i run DSL with a comcast reciever connected to a linksys router. my g/f
and roommate connect to the internet thru the linksys router, so do i.

Hi -

Let's take these in order -

1. If you can see the files but not the printer chances
are no one's created a share for the printer. If you
head over to Control Panel --> Printers and Faxes, right-
click the printer and select "Properties" you should see
a 'sharing' tab where you can share the printer.

2. All the configuration required to make a Mac talk on
a PC network has to be done on the Powerbook. Apple's
got a pretty good readme at
